Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
So my name's Jen Tippen. I'm the Chief People and Transformation Officer at NatWest Group. My role, I've actually got a brilliant job. My role is really broad. I look after our transformation programme where we put our investments, customer journeys, and also our people functions, our people strategy, and our property and supply chain teams as well. So I get involved in lots of different conversations and really enjoy my job.
What do you do to look after your own wellbeing?
Well, I think looking after your own wellbeing is really important. I mean, the only person that's going to take care of you is so for me, it's been a bit of a journey. There was a period in my career where I really didn't pay much attention to my wellbeing, and quite frankly, I suffered as a result. So for me, I've learned a lot about myself. I've learned about how I like to work. That involves, for me, starting early, but also finishing at a reasonable time in the day as well. What I try and do is do some exercise first thing in the morning, try and get some fresh air during the day as well. And at the weekends I practise yoga. I spend a lot of time reading. And other thing that I do to help me relax is I like learning languages. I'm learning a foreign language at the moment. So just a combination of good food, healthy living, and exercise, but also doing the things that I really enjoy, the things that really help me with my wellbeing.
What does your role of GCPTO entail?
So my role as the chief people and transformation officer at NatWest Group, I mean, I'm super lucky to be doing this job. It's a real privilege. It's particularly broad. So I'm responsible for our transformation programme, responsible for the investments that we make in our business for customer journeys, but also for our people strategy and our people plan skills, capabilities and talent, and also the work that we do on our property portfolio and supply chain management. So there's a lot that I get involved in as part of the management team here.
