Who are you and what do you do?
I'm Julian Rouse. I'm the sporting director at Alpine, and my role within the team is overseeing Trackside operations and looking after all of the sporting regulations and the interaction with the FIA, the organising body, as well as looking after the test team and overseeing our young driver development programme, the Alpine Academy.
What is your background?
So I've been involved in motorsports since I left education, which is many, many years ago now. And I've worked in various different teams on car build, race engineering, team management, and in various different Formulas like Formula Three, Formula Two, Sports Cars, World Endurance Championship, and joined Alpine a couple of years ago.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Only three words to describe myself. Yeah, that's tricky. But I think self-aware is definitely something that springs to mind. I definitely feel like I am very self-aware as an individual. I'm extremely determined. It's something that I know that I have and has helped me a lot in my career, to be honest. And I think that I'm generally pretty composed as well. So I would say those three would sum me up.
