What is transgender?
Transgender just means that the sex that you are assigned at birth is different to your gender identity that you feel in your head and your heart. You just know who you are in your head and your heart.
We don't have gender neutral toilet what should we do?
Okay. If you don't have a gender neutral toilet, then what you can do is actually, if you've got two gendered toilets, well, actually all you need to do is change the sign on the door just to describe what is in each one. So if you can have, there's nothing wrong with having new RHS for men. It speeds up the process of going to the lou for men. And that's fine if they want to use that. But you can have two rooms, one that just says U rhinos and the other one that says cubicles. Just describe the equipment that's in the room and that's it. And then people can decide which ones they want to use. It's very simple. Just a simple name change on the door. That's all that's needed.
What is the difference between a transgender woman and a drag queen?
So many people get mixed up between drag queens and transgender women, but completely separate things. So trans people is who we are. It's our identity. We're not pretending to be women. We are women. But for drag queens, it's a performance and it's often done. Quite a few gay men like to do drag and as a way of expressing their flamboyance, and it's a real art form and it's amazing. But usually they go over the top. They exaggerate and become more sort of caricatures of women. But as trans people, we're not like that at all. We just want to blend in because we are women. That's all it is.
