What is sexuality?

So sexuality is something that we all have. We're all on a spectrum somewhere with it, and it basically means who we may be sexually and or emotionally or romantically attracted to.

What does gender identity mean?

So gender identity is something that we all have, and it's basically that innate sense of self, how we identify within our own gender, and that's something that is individual and personal to us.

Is it ok to ask someone what their sexuality is?

Here's the thing. When we think about sexuality, it's always about respect. So if somebody is open and out about their sexuality, and you're not quite sure maybe what that term is or that identity is, if you respectfully ask them and say, oh, when you said you were bisexual, I'm not quite sure what that means. If you said that and you said, can you let me know what that means to you? So I understand it and I can get it right, then that's really a respectful way. But if they're not open and out about it, then of course you shouldn't be asking it because quite frankly, it's none of your business.
