How can I stay focused when working from home?

So lots of people when they're working from home get distracted. Maybe they need to put a wash on or the doorbell goes, and that's fine to a point as long as it's actually feeling comfortable for the person and it's not distracting them. One of the real key things is to set aside time in your day to really work and other times in your day to maybe do these other little jobs that you might want to get done and feel good having completed at the end of the day. So really thinking about when your work time is and when your relaxing or chore time is really useful, and setting aside time of the day to have your lunch, and then maybe after your lunch having another break where you might say, actually, this is the time I'm going to put a wash on or answer the door, et cetera. So really thinking about work time as being work time, rest time, as rest time, and cho time as Cho time.

How can I stay motivated when working from home?

This is a really important area that we need to address because lots of people feel demotivated when they're working at home, and it's often down to a lack of connection with others. So checking in with people, your peers, your colleagues, is really important and checking in with your team, but also thinking about what it is that you're trying to achieve. And really key areas is think building in rest and also fun into your day, which is what you would do if you were working in a face-to-face setting. So those would be my top tips, but also thinking about what generally motivates you and then trying to translate that into a home setting is really useful.

How can I look after my wellbeing when WFH?

So this can feel overwhelming, but actually it's quite simple. It's just about thinking about ways to move things around so that it actually works. What about going for a meeting whilst you're on a walk? Or what about having some time sitting and having a cup of tea in the garden or with the window open so that you get some natural light? Thinking about connecting with people during the day. Maybe you can contact a friend, maybe you can speak to a colleague, but about non-work things, all these things help with your wellbeing. It's vital. You think about what you're eating and your sleep as well. So just taking a step back and just thinking, what would a good wellbeing be for me? What do I need to put in place? Where can I start? What would be first? Those things will make a difference.
