Do I tell my manager I'm going through treatment?

It's a personal choice for everybody whether they decide to tell their employer if they're going through treatment or not, but we recommend that to get the best out of your treatment whilst you're working that you do have a collaborative conversation with them.

What if I can't handle the pressure of my job?

There are several things you can do here. So you could seek some support from your occupational health provider if you have one, or your employee assistance program helpline if you have one. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your line manager, you can access support somewhere else through maybe a trusted colleague or your manager, or a trade union Rep, or somebody else that you trust in the organization.. If worst case scenario, none of that works, I would be honest with your employer to say it's making you feel really poorly and potentially that's a discussion with your GP to get signed off work.

What am I entitled to?

In terms of fertility treatment, there's a lot of organizations that don't offer anything in terms of support or entitlement, there's a draft employment rights bill currently being set through Parliament to give people statutory paid time off for treatment.. But this hasn't been passed yet, so it's up to individual organization whether they support you via paid leave or there's something else that they can offer you in terms of financial support for cycles of treatment.
