Can I do mindfulness with my children?
Mindfulness is a great thing to do with your children, so absolutely, yes, you can do mindfulness with your kids.
Who are you and what do you do?

What is a good starting mindfulness exercise?
So there's a couple of really good starting exercises that you can do. So one is a bit more formal and that's your mindful breathing, so a bit like a meditation. So this is good for any age, really, and you can just ask someone to breathe. And it is just a case of taking a nice deep breath all the way in, and a breath all the way out, all the way in, all the way out. Now, your older children can then do this in their own time, but you can stay and do that with your younger children. The second thing is incorporating mindfulness into your everyday life. So not having to sit and do breathing, but actually thinking about when you're out and about, maybe on a walk, maybe you're in the car, you can just label things that you can see, label things you can hear, label, things that you can smell, taste, or touch. And that's a really good practise of starting to use your senses to be present in the moment and encouraging your children to do so. It can really take them out of their thinking mind, particularly if they're worried about something or they're ruminating over something. Just bringing it into your every day and just simply noticing
