Have you been diagnosed with ADHD?
Yes, I have been diagnosed with A DHD, so I initially went to my GP and then was referred to a full assessment.
Can someone with ADHD practice mindfulness?
Someone with ADHD can practise mindfulness because I have D and I'm a mindfulness teacher.
There is a lack of understanding of ADHD at work, what do I do?
I think there is a lack of understanding in a lot of places when it comes to A DHD, and I think the first thing is to have a look and see maybe what's out there in terms of services. Obviously, JAAQ at work maybe help answer some of those questions. That could be a nice catalyst for a conversation. If you specifically want to talk about neurodiversity in your workplace, then you could signpost some things and say, have you seen X, Y, Z? It might be this platform, or it might be a podcast or an interview or an article. Just don't be afraid to get those conversations started, and if you feel like there needs to be more understanding in a broader sense, go out and find those people that are speakers, that are trainers, and don't be afraid to make those suggestions. We are learning a lot more now about neurodiversity, and so I hope organisations will be much more open to having that training, that learning, and those conversations.
